CHASEN CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING OF THE WILKES

Chasen continues expansion of Baltimore portfolio with boutique apartment building in Fells Point

(Baltimore, MD) December 11, 2019 – Chasen Construction and Development, a leading multifamily, commercial, and single-family developer specializing in the Greater Baltimore and Washington, DC markets, announces today its newest multifamily property, The Wilkes, has delivered and has begun leasing. The 10-unit boutique apartment building located at 1719 Eastern Avenue in Fells Point, a historic community in Baltimore, is the fifth delivery for Chasen in 2019, with seven more on the horizon for 2020.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of The Wilkes as we continue to grow our presence here in the region,” stated Brandon Chasen, Founder and CEO, Chasen Construction and Development. “The Wilkes is a premier example of what we work to deliver at Chasen—a mix of modern living and historic charm in an amazing location. We look forward to opening our doors and welcoming new residents to not only The Wilkes but also to the Chasen way of living.”

Currently leasing, The Wilkes units are offered in one- and two-bedroom layouts. Each residence features a gourmet kitchen, designer finishes, in-unit washer and dryer as well as access to a private rooftop patio with unmatched views of Fells Point. A full-service, high-end salon is expected to open in January 2020 on the retail floor of the building, a concept Chasen has introduced at other Baltimore properties, such as the Hanover & Hughes Collective, a cafe and barber shop located in the Vision coworking building in Federal Hill.

In addition, residents of The Wilkes will have access to Chasen’s coworking space, Vision, and The Hideaway, a popular indoor and outdoor event space in Mt. Vernon, as well as discounted memberships with nearby gyms and retailers. “We understand our residents have a variety of schedules and professions, and we want to be able to be as creative and productive as they want to be—so offering the opportunity for them to be in other neighborhoods, gaining inspiration and networking with their peers is a tremendous value-add,” remarked Chasen.
